The Problem
The client required a fully designed and developed multilingual website for a surf camp, with complex booking functionality and seamless content management across multiple languages.
The Solution
As one of my final projects as a front-end developer, I was responsible for both the UI and UX design as well as the front-end development. The site required content management in seven languages, which I implemented using Advanced Custom Fields and WPML. A major challenge was creating a dynamic booking form that matched the client’s usability needs. To achieve this, I built a custom mini-plugin that connected a front-end form (built with Bootstrap and HTML) to the Gravity Forms system in the back office, ensuring smooth submission and management.
The Result
The result was a fully multilingual, user-friendly website with a custom booking solution tailored to the client’s needs, combining functionality, usability, and scalable content management.
Responsabilities
Peniche Surfcamp was one of my final projects as a front-end developer, where I handled the full design and development process. The only areas outside my scope were copywriting and image production. Technically, the main challenge was managing front-end content in seven languages using Advanced Custom Fields and WPML. I also had to create a highly dynamic booking form to meet the client’s usability requirements. To solve this, I developed a custom mini-plugin that populated and submitted entries from a front-end form (built with Bootstrap and plain HTML) into a Gravity Forms structure in the back office.
